14th Annual MotorCity PraiseFest
Event Date T.B.D.

This summer Detroit's Hart Plaza will come alive to the joyful sounds of one of America's truest art forms, gospel music. The 14th Annual Motor City PraiseFest will showcase this beautiful art form and focus on family, friends and community.
Detroit is world renowned for its musical heritage, and in no other art form is this more evident than gospel music. The foundations of the great Motown music legacy are directly rooted in Detroit's church choirs.
PraiseFest has been proud to present such gospel music legends as The Winans, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Karen Clark Sheard, "KiKi" Sheard, Kurt Carr, Donald Lawrence and The Tri City Singers, The Williams Brothers, Elder Marvin Winans & Perfected Praise, Wanda Nero Butler, Lynnette Hawkins Stephens, The Fairfield Four, Witness, Ron Winans Family & Friends, Rance Allen Group, the Canton Spirituals, the Clark Sisters Reunion, Vickie Winans, CeCe Winans, Helen Baylor, Dottie Peoples, Marvin Sapp and Yolanda Adams.
The 2004 Motor City Praise Fest was once again recognized as the premier Gospel Music Festival in the world when over 250,000 people came to enjoy the ambience of the riverfront for a weekend of quality musical presentation, family interaction, and reflection during this inspirational event.
The wonderful, soulful, and inspiring music that has long been associated with the City of Detroit rang out for the entire weekend. Over 40 soloists, duos, quartets, choirs and even mimes entertained the throngs of visitors to Hart Plaza.
Citizens of all ages, religious beliefs, sizes, colors, and creeds joined together to raise their voices as an expression of joy and faith.
The Motor City PraiseFest is without a doubt the most special weekend in Downtown Detroit for the strong family units that make up the city proper.
